TERRANIDI takes its name from nidus, the Latin word for nest - a place of origin, where life begins before it has a name.
The gallery is not conceived as a passive intermediary, nor as a neutral white box. It is an active field of transmission. As both a nurturing ground and a distribution network, TERRANIDI brings Koen Vanmechelen’s work into the world, where it can take root.
Operating by appointment only, TERRANIDI offers a focused and intimate environment for encountering the work. A space where dialogue, context, and connection are given time and attention.

TERRANIDI is led by Chido Govera, the artist’s muse, wife and closest witness. A Zimbabwean farmer, social entrepreneur, educator and founder of The Future of Hope, a foundation that trains people across Africa in sustainable food systems.
Where Vanmechelen works with the egg as a symbol of origin and potential, Govera works with the same logic in soil and spore. She brings to TERRANIDI lived knowledge — of resilience, of community, of what it means to make something grow in difficult ground. She steps forward as custodian, advocate and builder.
